FasTrak Flex

What is difference between FasTrak and FasTrak Flex?

To avail of toll discounts for carpools, vanpools, motorcycles, and other carpool-eligible vehicles, you must use a FasTrak Flex toll tag. FasTrak Flex toll tags function similarly to FasTrak Standard toll tags but include a three-position switch for indicating your travel status, either as a carpool or solo driver.

Is FasTrak Flex free?

Opening and maintaining a FasTrak account is entirely fee-free, regardless of the toll tag type you opt for. Consider your FasTrak account as a small toll payment account, which must always have a balance. Toll charges will be deducted automatically from your account balance each time a toll is incurred.

How do I change my FasTrak to Flex?

If you currently possess a standard FasTrak toll tag and need to exchange it for a FasTrak Flex, the process can be conveniently completed online. Start by logging in to your FasTrak account, then proceed to the "Vehicles & Tags" section. Within this section, you'll find the option labeled "Order A Toll Tag." Simply click on it, indicate the quantity of FasTrak Flex toll tags you require, and follow the instructions to finalize your order. This straightforward online procedure allows you to transition seamlessly to a FasTrak Flex toll tag to meet your specific travel needs.

Does the FasTrak flex work for express lanes?

After you cross the ExpressLanes entry/exit point, indicated by the transition from a dashed white line to double solid white lines, an overhead antenna will scan your FasTrak Flex transponder. It will then deduct the toll amount from your FasTrak account, taking into account occupancy and the toll rate displayed at that moment.
